The Beers

CASK CONDITIONED DRAUGHT BEER
These beers are brewed in our Real Ale Brewery in the traditional English manner. Using Canterbury malt and New Zealand Hops, the beers undergo their final fermentation in the barrel that they are served from. The beer is fresh and alive at the time of serving. Our beer is best served dispensed by hand-pump, to produce a creamy head that will last to the bottom of the glass. The carbonation is entirely natural being a by product of the ongoing fermentation. The beer is best served at 10-12°C.

Our Range of Real Ales:

Golding Bitter 3.7% A light fragrant beer with a fruity aroma, a typical English 'session beer'

Challenger 5.0% A well hopped and full bodied special bitter

Twisted Ankle 5.9% A strong dark ale, malty and dangerously easy to drink - beware!

Hopback IPA 5.8% A new version of our IPA, a little paler a little less bitter and lots more aroma.  Using our new Hopback, we can now late-hop the beer to infuse more NZ Cascade Hops and give us that great aroma.

Other Brews:

Hopback IPA 5.8% Bottled version of our cask beer.  Pefect to take home or take to a party.

Sauvin Pilsner 5% A pilsner for hop heads! A New Zealand variation on the German style of pilsener using bucket loads of Nelson Sauvin hops.

InCid'er 6.5% Made from traditional cider apple juice, fermented and conditioned in an oak wine barrel for 12 months.
